Architectural Vacuums by Frank Halmans
It’s interior vs. exterior as Frank takes regular household vacuum cleaners and transforms them into architectural structures they inhabit, while retaining function to the form as they’re still capable of cleaning up the mess your dirty butt left behind.

Framed Monstrosities by Dogzilla Lives
Some people are just not content with letting deformed, nightmarish abberations living beneath their bed or in submerged underwater cities, choosing instead to hunt them down and mount them on their walls in gilded frames. I’m okay with this actually; freakish tentacle-y beasts are fine with me so long as they stay dead, if dreaming.

Robocop by Samuel “Sho” Ho / Blog / Tumblr
18” X 24” Giclee print. Part of the Gizmos and Gadgets art show at the Bottleneck Gallery.
Oriol Angrill Jorda does quite the job of making color pencil & watercolor look fantastically photorealistic.
Ceramic Mouths by Ronit Baranga
When I’m investigating Internet things for the bloggy, a pretty good barometer for whether I should post something or not is: “would I want to put my mouth on it?” I find this eliminates nearly 1/5th of all possible candidates, though I never once thought to instead ask: “would I let it put its mouth on me?”, because Ronit’s ceramic tableware possesses mouth things with toofs and tongues for licking inanimate funtime. Part of the Kama Sex and Design exhibit at Triennale Design Museum in Milan, Italy, showing through March 10th, 2013.

The Hideaway Cozy by Rosalie Monod de Froideville
The problem with the Snuggie is it didn’t go far enough. Sure, we all like draping ourselves in blankets in lieu of actually putting on real world clothes, but what about those times you need to envelop yourself in the nourishing security of fabric? Rosalie knows that feel, creating the Hideaway for when you desperately need to not see or talk to anybody immediately. Available for all ages and lifestyles. I’ll take ten because I need that much more protection from reality.
